Air pollution involves the emission of toxic fumes into the air. Everyone in way contributes to air pollution in his/her capacity. Carbon dioxide is among the main pollutants of the air. This gas forms a big percentage of the gases that are emitted in many factories across China. Combustion of fossil fuels and deforestation greatly contribute towards the increased levels of this gas in the atmosphere. It is also emitted during any volcanic activity. It is a major contributor towards global warming. Most automobiles, air jets, and marine vessels also release fume to the atmosphere. Other pollutants include Aerosol sprays, nuclear fumes. Other dangerous gases that pollute the air include carbon monoxide and Sulfur dioxide. "Air pollution can cause acid rain, which occurs whenever sulfur dioxide combines with Nitrogen dioxide" (Hart 2006, p. 62).

In such busy, crowded and advanced life we must take care of such types of small bad habits on daily basis. It is true that only a small effort by the end of everyone can bring a major positive change towards our declining environment. We should not use the natural resources in wrong ways for just our selfishness and fulfil our destructive wishes. We should grow and develop science and technologies for the betterment of our lives but always be sure that it would not ruin our environment in future in anyways. We should be sure that new technologies would never disturb the ecological balance.

Good news. Sure. If it could actually happen. It’s sad to me that the sobering realities like climate change and mass extinction are always couched as “fixable”. They’re not. We’ve unwittingly started irreversible non-linear global ecosystem wide feedbacks that won’t stop anytime soon. Human culture at the scale we’re at currently is inherently unsustainable, degenerative and ecocidal. Among humans driven to breed and conspicuously consume ever more of everything (most of them), they’re not likely to choose to do otherwise until forced to, and by that time, the jig is up. We’re basically bacteria in a petri dish. Ravenously consuming all nutrients in our environment, population exploding until there are no nutrients left and population crashes. We’d do well to expect that population crash sooner than later. We’re not clever enough to get out of this intractable predicament we’ve wrought. The restoration of life on earth likely won’t happen on human timescales. Mass extinctions take eons to unfold.
